Conclusion: “The results of the pre-clinical evaluations indicate that Cellod-S has the acclaimed antisickling ethnomedicinal use and that haemolysis– a major mechanism-based toxicity of potential antisickling agents, and phenomenon most guided against in sickle cell sufferers-is not a problem with Cellod-S. We therefore recommend Cellod-S for extensive clinical evaluations in humans”

Departments of Surgery, Section of Urology and Chemical Pathology, Lagos University Teaching Hospital, Surulere, Lagos, Nigeria.

Conclusion: “Procin-X + Cellod-S therapy (PC) appears to be effective and in the management of Lower Urinary Tract Symptoms (LUTS) caused by Benign Prostate Hyperplasia (BPH). This efficacy appears to match that of a combination therapy of a 5ARI and A1B. The key advantages of PC include the absence of known side effects, the apparent improvement of erectile function with a simultaneous reduction in PSA, and no significant effect on serum testosterone. It may thus also find additional role in the chemoprevention of prostate cancer. A large multicenter double blind study is however needed to confirm these findings”
